Naomi is a guild-certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (CM) and licensed physical therapist who has been teaching classes and providing individual Feldenkrais-based therapy for over 30 years. She works with children and adults of all ages with a wide range of orthopedic and neurological challenges, helping her clients to move beyond their limitations and advance their potential through mind-body learning.

The Feldenkrais Method®

The Feldenkrais Method® is a unique system of somatic learning which teaches sensory self-awareness as a means for changing and improving those deep-seated neuromuscular patterns which form the basis of our posture and use of self. Based on principles of neurology, anatomy, anthropology, physics, and human development, Feldenkrais enables us to directly engage the brain and nervous system for learning and improvement.

Instruction

Naomi offers both individual and group instruction in the Feldenkrais Method®, in both in-person and video formats. Sessions combine verbally guided movement and gentle, specific touch to provide sensory information for learning.

Through simple, gentle and relaxing movement sequences combined with awareness, we learn to recognize self-limiting patterns and discover new ways of moving that bring greater ease and well-being. The goal is not only on immediate relief of symptoms, but on giving clients tools to take control of their improvement and health independently.

Our family has been working with Naomi for 17 years, and she is the best! She started working with our daughter, who has right hemiplegia, when she was 3 years old. The first thing that struck us was Naomi’s kindness and patience in working with children, and her generosity; she has the heart of a healer.  We came to find out her knowledge and breadth of experience are amazing. The results were fantastic! After her appointments, our daughter would immediately walk better, have better posture and better range of motion. There are a multitude of developmental issues that can happen in infantile hemiplegia, and early care is very important to prevent as many of them as possible. We were so blessed to find Naomi when we did.

Our daughter, today 20 years old, is a miracle! I am convinced that working with Naomi regularly throughout her childhood significantly contributed to this miracle, and for this we are eternally grateful!

Through the years, I too have had the chance to experience Naomi’s treatments. She has without fail fixed my neck, my back, and given me tools to help me be more aware of my posture and the interconnectedness of movement and the human body. Highly recommended!

The system developed by Moshe Feldenkrais has as much potential for understanding the mind/body relationship as Einstein's general theory of relativity had for physics.

I love Naomi. I have been going to her since I was a toddler. She has helped me so much in my life, and has become a good friend. I find her work very interesting. I’ve always looked forward to being treated by her. She is extremely thorough in her process. She always takes time to really listen to what your situation is, and how she can help you. I deeply appreciate this about Naomi and her work.

After Naomi’s treatments, I always feel a difference in my body. I feel very loose, well aligned, relaxed, taller, and happy. I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants to do Feldenkrais. Thank you so much Naomi!

Feldenkrais's method is the most sophisticated and effective method I have seen for the prevention and reversal of deterioration of function. We're condemning millions of people to a deteriorated old age that's not necessary.
