Naomi is a guild-certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (CM) and licensed physical therapist who has been teaching classes and providing individual Feldenkrais-based therapy for over 30 years. She works with children and adults of all ages with a wide range of orthopedic and neurological challenges, helping her clients to move beyond their limitations and advance their potential through mind-body learning.
The Feldenkrais Method® is a unique system of somatic learning which teaches sensory self-awareness as a means for changing and improving those deep-seated neuromuscular patterns which form the basis of our posture and use of self. Based on principles of neurology, anatomy, anthropology, physics, and human development, Feldenkrais enables us to directly engage the brain and nervous system for learning and improvement.
Naomi offers both individual and group instruction in the Feldenkrais Method®, in both in-person and video formats. Sessions combine verbally guided movement and gentle, specific touch to provide sensory information for learning.
Through simple, gentle and relaxing movement sequences combined with awareness, we learn to recognize self-limiting patterns and discover new ways of moving that bring greater ease and well-being. The goal is not only on immediate relief of symptoms, but on giving clients tools to take control of their improvement and health independently.
Nothing is permanent about our behavior patterns except our belief that they are so.
